Samsung’s latest entry level device, the Galaxy Discover, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has arrived as a prepaid phone at Telus, designed for the more light-hearted approach to mobile technology.
Sporting a 3.5-inch display with a resolution 320 x 480, 3MP camera, 800MHz single core processor, and weighing in at 122 grams, this device isn’t exactly going to burn a gaping hole in your wallet.
A healthy $99.99 is what it will cost you, which provides you with 4GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion of up to 32GB. Battery life is expected to last for up to 440 hours on standby or up to 7.3 hours of talk time – the Galaxy Discover is powered by a 1300mAh Li-Ion Battery.
Telus says that the Discover will offer a “responsive touch screen and sleek design you get high style with out overpaying or compromising on technology”. It is not yet clear whether the device will arrive on other carriers, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
