Sprint has come forward with details on their latest 4G LTE expansion. As a result of that, we have some good news for those in select cities of Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts and Texas. In short, users in these select markets will now find themselves with faster mobile speeds. That is, assuming you already have a Sprint 4G LTE capable device or are planning to upgrade. But devices aside, lets get into the details for the new markets that are going live as of today, October 22.

Beginning first with Illinois. The coverage here will be available for some of the major Chicago suburban areas. More specifically, for those in Addison, Bolingbrook, Des Plaines, Downers Grove, Kankakee, Rockford, Joliet, Naperville, Palatine and Plainfield, Illinois as well as in Gary, Indiana. Next up, the markets in Kansas. This list includes just two cities, Hutchinson and McPherson. Moving on to the third of four and we have Massachusetts where users in New Bedford and Fall River will now have 4G LTE coverage. And finishing up with Texas. The new markets in Texas include just one city — Wichita Falls.
All said and done, this is just another step in the Sprint 4G LTE roll-out. Further details coming from Sprint include how they still plan to add an additional 115 cities sometime “in the coming months.” Otherwise, if you happen to be in a location that has recently gotten 4G LTE and are curious about the devices — the list includes devices such as the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE and the HTC EVO 4G LTE. And coming on November 11, the LG Optimus G.
