Samsung Galaxy Music confirmed for a November release with O2 UK

Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Music smartphone earlier in the month. At that time we were expecting the handset to come available fairly soon and with a wide variety of carriers. Anyway, one of those carriers has come forward with an announcement of their own. That carrier is O2 UK, however we should note right up front that we have yet to see a specific launch date or price.

As of now O2 has listed the handset as coming in November. Of course, given the specs of the Galaxy Music, we are not expecting this one to be priced super high. If we had to venture a guess, this one will be free (or very low priced) on agreement. The specs for the Galaxy Music include a 3-inch QVGA display, 850MHz processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
In addition, those making the purchase will find 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 512MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.2 megapixel rear-facing camera. And given the handset is called the Galaxy Music — there are some music friendly features. Those goodies include dual front stereo speakers, SRS Surround Sound and SoundAlive 2 audio technology and an FM Radio as well as Smart Volume which means the volume should stay even and level.
Finally, the handset will have access to Samsung’s Music Hub 2.0 which offers an “all-inclusive, all-access music service, enabling streaming, purchase, playlists and music sharing.”
