Everything Everywhere (EE), the carrier titan born from the unholy matrimony between Orange UK and T-Mobile UK, has been the first mobile operator in the region to launch a 4G LTE network, although its competitors are also going to get faster data networks soon.

But it’s only now that we have pricing details and 4G LTE plans revealed for EE. The carrier has issued an official press release to announce its LTE offerings, which include several new smartphones, four Android devices, the HTC One XL, the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Huawei Ascend P1 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 5 that comes in three capacities, 16, 32 and 64GB.In case you already own a 4G LTE device in the UK, EE will help you move to 4G at no additional costs. On the other hand, if you have purchased a non-LTE device at some point during the last six months, you’re going to be able to swap it for an LTE-friendly version for a one-time fee of £100.
Plans
The cheapest EE 4G LTE plan costs £36 and it will get you unlimited calls, unlimited messages and 500MB of data, provided you choose a two-year plan with your new smartphone. In case you only want a 12-month contract, then the cheapest EE 4G LTE plan will cost £10 extra for a total of £46, and every other one-year plan will be £10 more expensive. At the top of the food chain you’ll have a £56 monthly plan (for two-year agreements) that gets you unlimited calls and texts and 8GB of LTE data. Additional data can be purchased if needed and it will cost £3 for 50MB or up to £20 for 4GB.
An extra £5 per month will allow UK EE subscribers to take their unlimited voice minutes and messages abroad, “in selected countries” alongside “special data add-ons.” We will mention that all the prices mentioned so far are for consumers, and that business, small business and share data LTE plans are also going to be available from EE at different price points.

Tethering, VoIP services and access to BT Wi-Fi are also included in any chosen 4G LTE EE plan. In case you’re wondering, pre-pay EE 4G LTE offers are not available at this time.
Launch
The 4G LTE service will be available in the UK starting with October 30. On the same date, the Orange and T-Mobile shops will be rebranded as Everything Everywhere. At first, EE will offer LTE coverage to 10 cities, with six more to be added by Christmas. The LTE rollout will continue next year, with the carrier estimating that 98% of the population will be covered in two years time.Content
In addition to offering subscribers faster data, EE seems interested in helping users chew through their monthly data allowances as fast as possible. How is it going to do that? Well, the carrier is going to offer you “smart new services,” on your precious 4G LTE devices, including access to movie streaming. The launch of superfast mobile and fixed speeds by EE will inspire the birth of revolutionary and exciting new services for business and consumers. The first such service is EE Film, the only service in the UK which combines 2-for-1 cinema ticketing, listings, trailers and film downloads or streaming in one place. The Film Store presents the largest catalogue of new releases available in the UK, with more than five times the number of new releases than other similar providers, and more than 700 films available in total. [...]In case you decide to buy a plan that’ll cost you at least £41 in monthly charges, you’ll be able to get an additional music service from Deezer, two Gameloft games per month or live mobile TV. The good news is that you’ll be able to keep switching between these services every 30 days, if you’re not happy with your initial selection.
4GEE customers will able to download or stream a film, each week, on EE, without impacting their data allowance. Further films can be downloaded or streamed with prices starting at 79p, and the cost can be charged to customers’ mobile bill, or credit and debit cards.

Speaking of cash, with all the money some of you will be spending on LTE data and digital content that will be streaming at much higher speeds, you should know that EE is also going to offer you some services to secure that content in case the phone gets stolen or lost. You will have to pay various monthly fees to get you set up (depending on what features you want and how much storage space in the cloud you need), but once that’s done, EE will offer you a Clone Phone service that will keep your precious data backed up in the cloud and ready to be installed on a fresh new phone in case the original one gets in trouble. Moreover, you’ll be able to track your handset, send alerts to the lost device and even get a brand new device within 24 hours from losing the first one.
